Michelle M. Finn is a professional development associate with Marzano Resources and implementation lead for Marzano Academies, a nonprofit that provides schools a comprehensive, long-term approach to implementing research-based practices within personalized competency-based education (PCBE).
Since 2004, she has worked on the implementation and support of PCBE in schools and districts around the United States. During her career, she has taught at all grade levels from kindergarten to tenth grade. Her particular passion is building student agency through learning transparency, goal setting, voice, and choice. Michelle coauthored A Handbook for Personalized Competency-Based Education with Robert J. Marzano, Jennifer S. Norford, and Douglas E. Finn III.
She graduated with a bachelor of science in elementary education from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Saint Joseph’s College.
