Within a complex endeavor such as teaching, it is very hard for an individual to reach and maintain the highest levels of performance on his or her own. This workshop will examine five key goals for instructional coaching and engage participants in activities to learn to use the Marzano instructional coaching model.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn the Marzano Model for Coaching Classroom Instruction.
  • Engage in instructional coaching activities using short video clips of teaching.
  • Learn and use a feedback protocol for instructional coaching that can be used with any instructional strategy.
  • Explore four different types of coaching conversations.

    Bev Clemens, PhD, is an experienced educational leader who has worked in large suburban districts and in smaller urban districts with diverse student populations. In addition to her work with Marzano Research, Dr. Clemens works with a small nonprofit organization focused on developing leadership skills in school leaders who are working to transform schools to meet the needs of all students.

  • Cancellations more than 90 days prior to the event require a $75 processing fee per person.
  • Cancellations between 10 and 90 days prior to the event require half the registration fee.
  • Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the event will receive no refund.
