  1. Jennifer Shaver

    Assessment

    Jennifer Shaver, EdD, has been an educator for over 15 years having served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, district administrator and most recently as the head principal of an elementary school. With experience at both the elementary and middle school levels, she is passionate about establishing a strong foundation through the High Reliability Schools (HRS) framework. Dr. Shaver has evaluated teachers using the Marzano framework, provided professional development for both new and veteran teachers on the New Art and Science of Teaching, and completed three levels of the HRS framework.

    Kristen Slechta is a professional development specialist at a regional service agency in Nebraska. She has eleven years of experience as a middle school science teacher and eight years of experience in professional learning.

    Shelly Swanson is a dedicated educator and a driven leader with 25 years of experience in public and private schools. She has worked as a classroom teacher and school administrator at both elementary and secondary levels.

    Christopher Tranberg, PhD, is the superintendent of Branford Public Schools in Connecticut. Previously serving as a principal, director of performing arts, and teacher, he is most proud of leading work focused on removing barriers to student learning.

  5. Lindsey Troutman

    Lindsey Troutman is an Executive Director of College Readiness, in Texas. She has served as an educator (grades 5-12), a curriculum coordinator in English Language Arts and Social Studies, and a Director of College, Career, and Military Readiness. She brings her passions and experience, as an Associate, in areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, standards-based learning, coaching, collaboration and professional learning.

  6. Adrienne Turner

    Assessment

    Adrienne Turner has 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional technology coach, and new teacher coordinator. She is currently the English language arts coordinator for grades preK–12 at Deer Creek Schools in Edmond, Oklahoma. Adrienne works to support teachers primarily in the areas of instruction, assessment, and wellness.

  7. Roger Vadeen

    Assessment

    Roger Vadeen is the director of schools for Westminster Public Schools in Colorado. With over 32 years of experience in education, Roger has served as a teacher, teacher-coach, assistant principal, principal, and district administrator. As a school principal, he led his school through all five levels of High Reliability Schools certification, demonstrating his commitment to educational excellence. In his current role, Roger supports and coaches principals in developing and implementing competency-based systems that foster high reliability and drive continuous improvement.

  8. Gerry Varty

    Gerry Varty has served as a classroom teacher, principal, director of curriculum and instruction, assistant superintendent (learning and system improvement), and executive director of professional development.

  9. Philip B. Warrick

    Assessment

    Philip B. Warrick, EdD, is an author and presenter and has worked globally in the areas of school leadership, instruction, collaborative practices, and grading.

  10. Natalie Wieland

    Assessment

    Natalie Wieland is a chemistry teacher and PLC team lead at Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. During 18 years of teaching, she’s experienced many academic successes by implementing The New Art and Science of Teaching framework. Natalie's areas of Marzano expertise include a variety of effective teaching practices from the New Art and Science of Teaching.
