    Jennifer Alvarado is a district-level curriculum, instruction, and professional development coordinator with more than 20 years of rich experience in both suburban and urban school districts.

  3. Tina H. Boogren

    Leadership Social-Emotional Learning

    Tina H. Boogren, PhD, is a former classroom teacher, English department chair, instructional coach, professional developer, athletic coach, author, and building-level leader.

  4. Toby Boss

    Toby Boss, EdD, is the director of professional development at a regional service agency in Nebraska. He has experience as a classroom teacher, district administrator, and professional development consultant.

  5. Bev Clemens

    Bev Clemens, PhD, is an experienced educational leader who has worked in large suburban districts and in smaller urban districts with diverse student populations. In addition to her work with Marzano Resources, Dr. Clemens works with a small nonprofit organization focused on developing leadership skills in school leaders who are working to transform schools to meet the needs of all students.

    Professional Learning Communities

    Michael Evans, EdD, is the assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction, and assessment for Monett R-1 Schools in Monett, Missouri. He has more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, counselor, and school leader.

  7. Michelle Finn

    Competency-Based Education

    Michelle Finn is a professional development associate for the Reinventing Schools Division of Marzano and a coauthor of A Handbook for Personalized, Competency-Based Education. With more than a decade of experience in a variety of educational roles and settings, her classroom-based experience includes teaching grades K–10.

  8. Douglas Finn III

    Competency-Based Education

    Douglas Finn III has been working in the area of personalized competency-based education (PCBE) since 2004. Within PCBE, he has taught every grade, kindergarten through graduation, and has been an instructional and administrative coach for schools and districts throughout the country.

  9. Jane Doty Fischer

    Assessment & Grading Instructional Strategies Vocabulary

    Jane Doty Fischer, PhD, is an international and national trainer, a consultant, author, and coauthor of numerous resources. She has background and expertise in school improvement at the district, school, and classroom levels and works with teachers, teacher leaders, and leadership related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

  10. Jeff Flygare

    Assessment & Grading

    Jeff Flygare has served as a classroom teacher, professional development presenter, and English language arts specialist. He led the movement to a standards-based education for Academy School District 20 in Colorado.
