Rethinking Evidence-Based Assessment and Reporting Virtual Workshop

Designing effective assessments is critical for every K–12 educator. Without meaningful assessment data, informed judgments cannot be made about where students are in their learning or next instructional steps. Join us for this workshop to learn everything you need to know to implement a comprehensive system of evidence-based assessment and reporting that provides valid and reliable measures of student learning.

  • Design, interpret, and systematically use three different types of formative assessments.
  • Identify essential standards and create assessments to accurately reflect learning.
  • Understand the essential elements of proficiency scales and how they can be used in classrooms to engage students in the learning process.
  • Gain strategies for building a variety of high-quality assessments aligned to proficiency scales.
  • Learn how to track student progress and assign meaningful grades using sound grading practices.

  • Cancellations more than 90 days prior to the event require a $75 processing fee per person.
  • Cancellations between 10 and 90 days prior to the event require half the registration fee.
  • Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the event will receive no refund.
