Transitioning to standards-based learning involves systemwide changes. School leaders play a critical role during planning and implementation, and in many cases, the depth of their understanding and commitment to a standards-based approach determines the success or failure of the endeavor. In this highly interactive workshop, Tammy Heflebower outlines a five-phase plan that school leaders can leverage to plan, build capacity, implement, and monitor their transition to standards-based learning. Participants will dive deep into important issues such as curriculum, assessment, setting goals and tracking progress, communication and feedback, aligning instruction, and grading and reporting. Join Tammy Heflebower for this six-session experience that will set you and your team up for success as you implement this transformative approach to teaching, learning, and grading.
